Stina
Stina's cellar was established in 1903 as the First Dalmatian Wine Association and since has been renovated (2009) into a modern, luxury wine cellar. It is located in the very center of the town of Bol, Brač.
Today Stina owns a total of 78ha of vineyards on various positions across the island. The most famous and most impressive is the vineyard Stipančić near Murvica where Plavac mali grapes are grown. In this vineyard, dating back to 15th century, Stina owns a total of 21ha of which 13,5ha are 20-40 years old vines. Their other grape varieties (Pošip, Vugava, Chardonnay, Viognier, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah) grow in their, also non-irrigated, younger vineyard Grabice (2010) on 55ha.
Very steep landscapes on the southern side of the island, right next to the sea are both impressive and amazing positions for growing premium quality grapes. On such locations, on sometime even 500 m above the sea level, all vineyard work is done manually.
"STINA is an inspiration. STINA awakens our sense for fantasy and creation whether we sculpt from a block of stone, paint on a canvas or write poems on paper. Stina is a field full of rocks, a field in which it takes much more than skill to create opulent flavours. Stina is Brač and Brač is Stina."
