Product descriptionVinification Process
Hand-harvested grapes are carefully sorted and destemmed. Fermentation is carried out in stainless steel with native yeasts, followed by maceration to extract color and tannin. The wine is aged for 12 months in a combination of used and new oak barrels (French and Slavonian), adding structure and complexity. After blending, the wine is lightly filtered and aged further in bottle to harmonize before release.
Vineyards & Terroir
The vineyards of Stina Winery are spread across the picturesque island of Brač island, located in Dalmatia, Croatia. The red grape varieties thrive on the island’s southern slopes, benefiting from optimal sun exposure, while the white grape varieties are planted at elevations of 420m-600m, making them some of the highest-altitude vineyards for indigenous white grapes in Croatia.
Sustainability & Vineyard Practices
No irrigation is allowed in the vineyards, ensuring that the vines develop deep root systems, leading to intense and concentrated flavors in the grapes.
