Bire
Bire is not just any winemaker, he was the only one who managed to make an ecologically grown
vineyard from the unusual and centuries-old grape variety Grk. This indigenous grape variety is found almost exclusively on the sandy soil around Lumbarda on the south side of the Island of Korčula. The Bire Grk has a strong minerality with a very good acidity that gives freshness despite a very prominent body. The wines of Bire are very sought after and rare, annually only 5,000 bottles of Grk and 10,000 bottles of Plavac Mali are produced.
