Product descriptionBabić Testament 2020 – Dalmatian Elegance in a Glass
Discover the soul of coastal Croatia with this bold and authentic red from Testament Winery. Babić Testament 2020 is a true reflection of tradition and terroir – crafted from the indigenous Babić grape, organically grown on the rugged limestone soils of Northern Dalmatia, near the Adriatic Sea.
Babić grapes is a local grape variety, growing only in the northern Dalmatia, especially around Šibenik and Primošten. It's grown on only 343 ha in total and it's known as low yield varietal that produces high quality wines.
This wine impresses with a deep ruby color and intense aromas of ripe black cherries, dried figs, Mediterranean herbs, and a subtle hint of sea breeze. On the palate, it is full-bodied and rich, yet perfectly balanced by vibrant acidity and smooth tannins. Expect flavors of plum, dark chocolate, roasted coffee beans, and gentle oak spice.
Ideal for fans of Syrah or Tempranillo, Babić pairs beautifully with grilled meats, aged cheeses, or vegetarian dishes such as roasted eggplant and mushroom risotto.
