Wine Enthusiast 93 points – “Hidden gem”

In year 2023 Graševina Tradition 2017 has won 93 points and title of hidden gem on prestige wine awars in USA hosted by Wine Enthusiast, one of the most respected wine critics.

Graševina Traditon 2017 is now the highest rated graševina in USA.

„Aromas of green pear, tangerine and jasmine pave the way for flavors of yellow apple, lemon zest, vanilla, rose petal and a touch of nutmeg. This wine is creamy on the palate and offers a final note of mineral-rich salinity.“

Serve in Riesling glasses.

Serving temperature: 11-12°C

Limited series: 3.300 bottles

Tasting notes:
Graševina Tradition is the successor of Graševina Premium, the most famous label in the Antunović winery which secured the platinum medal at the Decanter competition in London. The name has been changed this year from the suggestive Premium to Tradition, with the desire to indicate the commitment to the authenticity of the variety and terroir.
However, the name is not the only characteristic that has been changed. The wine is softer than previous vintages. Especially on first impression. It is creamy and mild in the mouth, more elegant than its predecessor, but it does not lack taste nor aroma. The initial subtle ripe fruits open to floral notes of meadow flowers, pears, and citrus fruits.
A note of wood and nuts in the finish is felt in the mouth, and the retro taste is marked by lively and salty minerality. Beautiful wine.
Saša Špiranec, wine critic and journalist, Jutarnji List, November 21, 2021.

The vineyards are situated on the southern slopes of the hills of Dalj, more precisely there are two vineyard sites: Šušnjar and Rudina located at the altitude from 120 to 170 m.

The Antunović family grows grape as the only raw material for winemaking on their plantation spreading over 8 hectares of land.

The shape of the grapevine is derived from application of the single Guyot technique and the average yield ranges from 1.5 to 2.5 kg per vine.

The protection and fertilization of grapevine follow the principles of organic production, minimal use of plant protection products and no use of herbicides.
