The Plavina grape is one of Dalmatia’s hidden gems: an indigenous variety that combines freshness and elegance. Ante Sladić crafts a wine that feels both authentic and contemporary.

In the glass it reveals aromas of ripe cherries, red berries, and a hint of Mediterranean herbs. The palate is smooth, lively, and refined, with bright acidity and soft tannins that make it highly approachable. Plavina is often compared to a mix between Pinot Noir and Grenache: light and graceful, yet full of character.

The wine is made with sustainable principles: hand-harvested, spontaneously fermented with native yeasts, and minimal intervention in the cellar. This allows the terroir of Skradin – with its limestone soils and Mediterranean climate – to shine through.

About the Winemaker:
Ante Sladić represents the new generation of Croatian winemakers reviving forgotten local grapes. His family has cultivated vines around Skradin for generations, close to Krka National Park. With passion and respect for tradition, he creates characterful wines that bridge heritage and modernity.
