Croatian style Pinot Noir - what does that actually means? European terroir, but notably warmer than Burgogne. Croatian Pinot Noirs are stronger, fuller but still lighter in body than other red varieties growing in Croatia. Oversimplifying it - it's a mix between the old and the new world. 

Kolarić is a modern winery located on Plešivica wine region, just about 30 km from Zagreb. Their speciality is growing Pinot Grigio and today they offer a range of labels, from sparkling 100% Pinot Grigio wine through Amfora fermented and aged ones. 

Aside of Pinot Grigio, they also produce wines made of Pinot Noir as well blends of old grape varieties found on Plešivica.

This Pinot Noir No Classic 2016 is a juicy dry red wine with red and dark fruits flavours and some herbal tones. In the mouth with notable acidity and medium plus body. Aged in oak barrique barrels for about 2 years, this wine is well balanced and round.
