An amazingly successful blend of local Teran (20%) with Merlot (50%), Cabernet Sauvignon (30%). This wine is special for many reasons:it's made of grapes growing in a single vineyard - Santa Lucia Its' grapes are harvested and selected by hand It has quite an ageing process: 18 months in barrique barrels and 12 months in inox, after which it matures 24 months in bottles. The colour is very deep ruby and it is quite intense on the nose with gamey, leathery, spicy notes with undergrowth, black fruits, forest flor. Dry on the palate with fuller body and plenty of acidities. Tannins are firm and ripe. Certainly warm, but showing Istrian freshness. Best served at 18 C Serve it with steak, game and matured cheeses.
