Plovac Ploški is one of the finest examples of Plavac Mali wines. The wine is macerated for five days, fermented on lees and aged for at least 2 years in barriques before being released to the market. The name, Plovac Ploški, derives from the name of the grape variety, Plavac Mali, and the vineyard the grapes come from - Plaže (beaches). Plaže vineyards area is known for the high average amount of sun hours, the steep gradient, and the carbon-rich, very skeletal soil. All that contributes to the best-quality grapes.
Note: needs to be decanted for a minimum of 30 min before drinking.
Serve with pašticada (beef stew), lobster stew or barbecue.
