A real example of superior Dingač wine. Multiple award winner!
This deep garnet color, full body wine doesn't fit everyone and everything. It certainly has the strength, with its strong tannins and high alcohol percentage. However, its main varietal characteristics and aging in oak barrels do balance it out to a smooth and well-balanced wine.
On the nose quite prominent are the dark and dried fruits, such as blueberries, blackcurrant, raisins, and fig. Followed by the barrel aging flavors of tobacco, cedar, and jamminess. On the palate showing lots of fruits.
With medium acidity and a medium finish, I must admit this is an excellent wine.
Pair it with steak, red meat, bbq, ribs, lamb.
Best served at 18 C. Needs to be decanted for at least 1-2h.
